The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the Belarus-Pakistan business meeting organized by the BelCCI together with the Federation of Pakistani Chambers of Commerce and Industry as part of a visit to Minsk of a Pakistani business delegation.
The meeting was attended by the BelCCI Deputy Chairman, Denis Meleshkin, Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Umar Masood ur Rehman, Chairman of the Pakistan-Belarus Business Addressing the participants, Denis Meleshkin noted that cooperation with Pakistan through the chambers of commerce and industry has been actively developing in recent years, contributing to the establishment of business contacts. An effective tool for expanding bilateral trade and economic partnership is the Pakistan-Belarus Business Council, the next meeting of which is scheduled in Minsk in the first quarter of 2023.
"Belarus and Pakistan have many areas that could be interesting for business. Belarus is an export-oriented state with a developed industry, agriculture and service sector. Our country has a competitive investment and tax climate, there are a number of preferential regimes that can be very useful for foreign companies, including in terms of tax planning and optimization," Denis Meleshkin said, expressing the hope that the business meeting and the visit to Belarus in general will allow the Pakistani delegation to get acquainted with the possibilities of the country and make sure that Belarus is a reliable long-term partner, will contribute to the signing of new contracts of enterprises and organizations.
"On its behalf, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will make every effort to ensure a fruitful and substantive business dialogue between our countries," the Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI assured.
During the business meeting and B2B negotiations that took place at the end of the plenary part, representatives of Belarusian and Pakistani companies discussed the possibilities of establishing and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of food and light industry, pharmaceuticals sector, woodworking, construction, transport and logistics, tourism, IT, and others.
