Belarusian-Venezuelan experience of cooperation – in a new direction

The meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Belarus Franklin Ramirez Araque with Belarusian business circles took place in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The hall was attended by heads and representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations from the spheres of industrial production, mechanical engineering, food industry, trade and other industries.

Deputy Head of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elena Malinkovskaya took part in the event. Welcoming the guests, she emphasized that a trusting dialogue has been established between Belarus and Venezuela at various levels, including the highest. And the number of participants present at this meeting confirms that Belarusian business has a real interest and specific proposals for the development of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.

«Despite the geographical distance of the states, Belarusian-Venezuelan relations continue to remain friendly. They are based on similar views on the world order, ideological principles, and a common assessment of the situation on many issues on the international agenda,» noted Elena Malinovskaya.

In addition, there is a Belarusian-Venezuelan joint commission on trade and economic cooperation, which is designed to resolve issues that arise within the framework of interaction between the two countries.

Venezuelan Ambassador Franklin Ramirez Araque, in turn, noted that trade and economic relations between Belarus and Venezuela are in the process of revival, and today the task is to develop them, relying on bilateral experience. The current meeting will allow us to identify further points of contact.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to continue providing Belarusian and Venezuelan businesses with comprehensive support in a wide range of areas.
