The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting between the Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhail Myatlikov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Belarus Ilina Vukailovich. Leaders and representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations from the fields of industrial production, mechanical engineering, food industry and trade were also present in the negotiation hall and online.
The parties discussed the development of trade and economic relations between the states, the level of interaction between the Chambers and outlined further points of growth.
Mikhail Myatlikov noted that in recent years, contacts between the central offices of the Chambers have somewhat reduced their dynamics, while interregional interaction, on the contrary, is developing quite actively. There are 12 cooperation agreements between the regional chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Serbia. Thus, about two weeks ago, the Mogilev branch of the BelCCI organized a visit of Belarusian business circles to Belgrade, as a result of which a contract was concluded for the supply of Belarusian berries to Serbia.
Also, the Chairman of the BelCCI asked the Ambassador to consider the possibility of opening direct flights between Minsk and Belgrade, as was done with Moscow. For Belarusian and Serbian business, such a step will be important in terms of reducing time costs and strengthening cooperation in many areas. The BelCCI, in turn, is ready to continue to provide businesses of both countries with comprehensive support in a wide range of areas.
