
As part of a business visit by a delegation from the Omsk Region to the capital of Belarus, a business meeting was held at the Minsk Office of the BCCI, the key practical outcome of which was the signing of a contract worth RUB 36 million.
The event was opened by Sergey Nabeshko, General Director of the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who emphasized the importance of direct dialogue between the business communities of the two regions. A welcoming address was delivered by Snezhana Mikhailovskaya, Head of the Department for Export Development and Import Optimization of the Directorate for International Activities and Tourism of the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
From the Russian side, Inessa Kolesen, Deputy Head of the Department for Consumer Market Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Department of Urban Economic Policy of the Omsk City Administration, delivered a presentation on the Omsk Region and areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. Olga Fedulova, President of the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Omsk Region,” presented an overview of Omsk enterprises and expressed their readiness to integrate into Belarusian production chains.
The delegation from Omsk included heads of companies specializing in the production of electrical measuring equipment and lighting products, the manufacture of ring forgings, the production of custom equipment for railway transport, the development of measuring instruments for the energy sector, as well as services in artificial intelligence implementation, the distribution of medical devices, and the supply of agricultural products.
The central event of the meeting was the signing of a contract worth RUB 36 million in the agro-industrial sector. Its implementation will serve as an impetus for expanding trade turnover between the regions.
Following the business meeting, the parties agreed to prepare new joint projects and to intensify cooperation in priority sectors. The experience of today’s meeting confirms that direct dialogue between manufacturers, experts, and representatives of public authorities creates a solid foundation for sustainable interregional partnership.
The visit program continues: the Russian delegation will visit leading Belarusian enterprises to gain first-hand insight into production capacities, technologies, and potential for further cooperation.
