
As part of strengthening interregional ties, a business meeting between representatives of the business communities of the Republic of Belarus and the Penza Region of the Russian Federation took place at the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event served as a platform for direct dialogue, the identification of concrete areas of mutual interest, and the definition of directions for future cooperation.
The event was opened by Irina Ivanova, Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Relations. In her speech, she noted the strong momentum of mutual interest, emphasizing that the Penza Region has long been a reliable partner of Belarus, while the current economic situation is opening unique “windows of opportunity” for implementing import substitution strategies and creating new technological value chains.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Region, Alexey Samsonov, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing shared interests in industry and the regions’ readiness for active dialogue.
A highlight of the meeting was the ceremony for signing a cooperation agreement between the United Organization of Business Entities of the public association “Belarusian Women’s Union” and the Penza Regional Branch of the All-Russian public-state organization “Union of Women of Russia”
The signing of the document took on deep symbolic significance, as the current year in Belarus has been declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman. The participants noted that women’s diplomacy and soft power are becoming the foundation on which the most trusting and long-term partnership relations are built.

The mutual interest of both parties is expected to soon develop into joint projects. The business marathon continues, with the delegation looking forward to detailed negotiations directly at production sites in Belarus.
