Negotiations took place at the Minsk branch of BelTPP with the President of the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB), Manpreet Singh Nagy. The main practical outcome of the meeting was an agreement to develop schedules for mutual business visits and receptions of business missions. The Minsk branch of BelTPP systematically promotes Indian initiatives, acting as a key link for domestic enterprises to establish direct contacts with partners.
The meeting occurred during a period of high diplomatic and economic activity between Minsk and New Delhi. Currently, the relevant agencies of both countries are working on a new medium-term "roadmap" for cooperation.
At this stage, the trade, economic, and humanitarian interaction between the two countries relies on several directions:
• Industrial cooperation. The parties are systematically developing projects for establishing mutual (mirror) assembly production in the agricultural engineering sector. Simultaneously, they continue to fulfill long-term commitments for the supply and technical support of heavy mining equipment for the Indian mining sector.
• Logistical integration and financial support. Belarus's infrastructure potential is being offered to Indian businesses as a key distribution hub for expanding goods into the large EAEU market. Regular direct flights between Minsk and New Delhi ensure transportation accessibility for the business community. An important step for the uninterrupted servicing of growing trade flows was the opening of an official representative office of the largest Belarusian state bank in India.
• Export of educational services. Currently, around 1,000 Indian citizens are studying at Belarusian higher education institutions. This interaction is supported by more than 30 direct agreements between universities in the two countries. The high status of Belarusian education is confirmed by the fact that the relevant Indian authorities officially recognize Belarusian diplomas, and graduates can validate them in their home country on the first attempt.
