26 February 2025

During the business visit to Iran, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture hosted B2B negotiations between the business representatives from Belarus and Iran. The Belarusian business was represented in various sectors: from the confectionery and cable and wire products to logistics services and investment attraction.

At the talks, the parties had the opportunity to address a number of important issues aimed at strengthening economic ties expanding opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises and sales market diversification. Thus, the parties have reached the agreements on the promotion of the Belarusian confectionery products to the Iranian market. Moreover, the discussions are underway regarding signing a letter of intent on the supply of cable and wire products to the Iranian market. The two countries are actively co-operating in creating the joint project in the construction sector, in particular, the production of high-tech equipment. Additional negotiations in the logistics sector were held at the Iran Federation of Transport and Logistics.

As part of the business visit the Belarusian companies had a number of working meetings with Dmitry Koltsov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Denis Zdorov, Senior Adviser of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran and Mr. Behzad Yagubi Araghi, the representative of the BelCCI in Iran. There have been discussed the options for business cooperation between these two countries, the promising areas as well as transport and logistics issues. During the meetings, the Iranian business representatives were invited to the large-scale events this year: the agricultural exhibition “BELAGRO-2025” and the first International industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Belarus.”

Iran remains a strategic partner of Belarus in the Middle East. Successful cooperation among the enterprises from both countries results in strengthening their position in the international market, their geographic expansion and becoming more competitive. As a result of their well-coordinated communication the companies participate in various tenders, launch innovative production and increase export supplies. It is important to continue the dialogue and seek the ways to solve the problems to realize the full potential of the partnership.

Looking ahead, the Minsk branch of the BelCCI continues to focus on organizing the business missions and conducting B2B negotiations as the key tools for enhancing business communication and establishing long-term partnerships between the businesses in the international arena.
