Ambassador of Brazil to Belarus: "The right time to open new markets"

A day full of visits at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ended with a meeting of business circles with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Belarus Bernard Georges Leopold de Garcia Klingl.

Relations between Belarus and Brazil are friendly. Brazil is the main partner of the Republic of Belarus in foreign trade with Latin American countries and is among the TOP-10 partners of Belarus in the world.

"Currently, potash and nitrogen fertilizers make up the bulk of Belarusian exports to Brazil. I am convinced that expanding the range of supplies of both Belarusian goods to Brazil and Brazilian goods to Belarus is in the interests of both countries," noted Deputy Chairperson of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elena Malinovskaya.

Bernard Georges Leopold de Garcia Klingl, in turn, said that Belarus is associated with high quality products, reliability, and a responsible attitude to business in Brazil. But in the current geopolitical conditions, it is somewhat isolated. At the same time, according to the Ambassador, this is a good time for Brazil to get to know Belarus better, and for Belarus to discover new markets and not focus only on those that were obvious, close and convenient for it in the past.

Georges Leopold de Garcia Klingl also answered questions from business entities in detail, in particular, he spoke about the nuances of opening a company in Brazil, doing business with Brazilian counterparties, and shared some of the intricacies of national legislation.
