Strategies for Promoting Products on Wildberries and the 'Made in Belarus' Verification Discussed at Business Meeting in Soligorsk

A business meeting focused on effective operations on Wildberries took place at the Igrow attraction centre of JSC 'Belagroprombank' in Soligorsk. The event was organised by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelTPP) in collaboration with the PRO WB Business Support and Development Centre.

The meeting brought together manufacturers and representatives from trading companies in the Minsk region who were interested in scaling their sales through the largest online platforms. Experts from Wildberries in Belarus participated as speakers.

The main part of the programme was dedicated to the 'inner workings' of marketplaces. Experts and participants discussed:

  • Factors of Effectiveness: What drives a customer to click on a product.
  • Visual Content: Creating photos and videos that address customer objections.
  • Conversion Tools: How to turn a visitor on a product page into buyer.

The key topic of discussion was the process of obtaining the official "Made in Belarus" label through product verification by BelCCI. In conditions of high competition on marketplaces, having official confirmation of a product’s origin becomes a critical advantage.

Verification by BelCCI is not just a branding move but a tool for brand protection and increasing customer loyalty. In practice, it provides:

  • Confirmation of the status as a domestic manufacturer.
  • Increased brand recognition among buyers who prefer Belarusian products.
  • An additional trust filter that makes the product listing stand out in marketplace search results.

Participants received step-by-step instructions for completing the verification process. The meeting format allowed for discussion of real cases. Applying the acquired knowledge will help regional companies optimize their promotion costs and develop more effective strategies for presence in e-commerce.
