The role of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in building trade and economic relations with Iran

The General Director of the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part in the scientific and practical conference devoted to the 30^th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran.    

At the conference during the opening ceremony Alireza Sanei, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus, Andrey Korol, the Head of The Belarusian State University, extended greeting to all participants of the conference. They admitted that this event is an important part of further development of relations between Belarus and Iran.  

During his speech Sergey Nabeshko highlighted the fact that the BelCCI provide all-round support to the development of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Iran, and told about all existing means by virtue of which the BelCCI in cooperation with the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry regularly organize events, which stimulate the development of relations in trade and economic area, industrial and investment cooperation.

In October, 2023 the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the visit of the Belarusian enterprises’ business delegation to Tehran. As a result of this visit the Minsk Branch of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture signed a Cooperation Agreement. Moreover, the volume of supplies of bleached pulp to Iran was increased, and preliminary arrangements of cooperation in engineering, foodstuff industry and service sector was outlined.

At the conference also presented their reports the representatives of such governmental organizations and institutions as: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Economy Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy, the National Library of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus etc.
