Participation of S. Nabeshko in KazanForum 2024

Sergey Nabeshko,  Chief Executive Officer of the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the XV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024” (Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation) on May 15-16, 2024.

"Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" is a platform to develop cooperation in trade relations, foreign direct investment, and to discuss the issues of the Islamic financial system. KazanForum is of particular importance as a platform for the open and engaging dialogue, discussion of relevant contemporary issues and exchange of best practices among the countries that support the formation of a multipolar and fair world. This year, the Forum has gathered more than 11,000 participants fr om 79 countries.

“Trust and Cooperation“ is the key theme of KazanForum 2024. The KazanForum business programme has integrated 12 thematic tracks, including international cooperation, economics, tourism, business, science and technology, Islamic finance and investment, sports, halal industry and others.

As part of the general programme of the Forum, the International Forum of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the participation of Sergey Katyrin, President of the CCI of the Russian Federation, Shamil Ageev, Chairman of the Union "CCI of the Republic of Tatarstan", Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Heads of the regional and foreign CCI. This year the guests from 17 foreign countries have been welcomed. Sergey Nabeshko made a presentation during the plenary debate. He spoke of his successful experience in implementing the new approaches to interaction with the members of the BelCCI and participated in the panel discussions and sessions: "Development of a Circular Economy. Russian Organic Fertilisers in the Global Economy", "Technical Regulation and Standardisation in Priority Economic Sectors", "Reaching the New Level of the Manufacturing SMEs’ Development. Cooperation. Investments.  Markets".

This event allowed the Heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry to exchange best practices, familiarize themselves with the global trends, conditions and opportunities of the Chambers.

The event hosted the conference "The Role of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in Sustainable Regional Development", the Meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World", the International Exhibition of Economic, Scientific, Technical Cooperation “Russia Halal Expo”; the International Trade Fair “Kazan Halal Market” and the Festival “Modest Fashion Day”. 

Sergey Nabeshko participated in the meeting of the Heads of the CCI with Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, on  May 15 wh ere the important role of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the development of international economic cooperation was acknowledged. "The Chambers of Commerce and Industry are the important structures that bring together businesses and represent their interests. In tough times they are increasingly required and therefore they successfully establish trade, economic and investment ties among the enterprices" Rustam Minnikhanov said.
