Business Dialogue Between Belarus and Bashkortostan: More Than 120 Enterprises Meet at the 13th Forum of Regions

At the BELEXPO Minsk International Exhibition Centre, bilateral B2B negotiations between the business communities of Belarus and Bashkortostan were held as part of the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The meeting resulted in a package of signed agreements, ranging from industrial contracts to the establishment of sister-city partnerships.

The business meeting was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov, and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus Denis Skobyalko.

Addressing the participants, Viktor Karankevich emphasized that the event was taking place within the framework of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, a major event that receives special attention from the President of the Republic of Belarus and the President of the Russian Federation. According to him, the macroeconomic stability and economic growth of both countries depend directly on the activity of enterprises and their commitment to generating new ideas.

“Today’s event demonstrates the strong interest shown by the business community. It provides a real practical opportunity to meet, discuss, and implement joint projects, and serves as an important driver of growth,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Addressing the business representatives, he encouraged them to strengthen the exchange of technological expertise and build on each other’s strengths, expressing confidence that the meeting would serve as a launching pad for numerous long-term contracts.

The event brought together more than 120 business entities from the two republics. The negotiations covered a broad range of industries, including mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, the oil and gas sector, energy, construction, as well as high-tech fields such as microelectronics and information technology. Representatives of the housing and public utilities sector, agriculture, retail, and the HoReCa industry also took part in the discussions. The main topics included the launch of joint manufacturing projects, the development of new cooperation chains, and the automation and digitalization of business processes.

A number of agreements were signed as a practical outcome of the negotiations. In the industrial sector, one of the key milestones was the signing of a cooperation agreement between MAZ OJSC and New Industrial Technologies LLC.

In addition to commercial agreements, an important step was taken toward strengthening interregional administrative ties. A sister-city agreement was signed between the city of Sterlitamak of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation and the city of Baranovichi of the Republic of Belarus.
