Payments, medicine, supplies of water treatment equipment – Belarusian business met with the Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Belarus

The meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus Ignatius Graham Mudzimbo with Belarusian business circles took place in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Deputy Chairman of the BelTCP, Elena Malinovskaya, speaking in a welcoming speech, noted that Belarusian-Zimbabwe cooperation is developing dynamically, relations between our countries are of a friendly nature, which is based on the similarity of views on the world order, ideological attitudes, common assessment of the situation on many issues of the international agenda.

– We have established a trust dialogue at the highest and highest levels. There is a Joint Standing Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Zimbabwe. In 2023, the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Zimbabwe took place. In May of this year, Belarus was visited by the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa. Belarus traditionally annually presents the country exposition Made in Belarus at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair ZITF, said Elena Malinovskaya.

During the meeting, leaders and representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations from the spheres of industrial production, machine building, light and food industry, trade and other industries, present in the hall, discussed with the Ambassador a wide range of issues related to trade and economic cooperation. The Belarusian business has a real interest and concrete proposals for the development of cooperation, implementation of joint projects.

Thus, the parties considered the prospects of supplies of equipment for full-cycle waste processing plants, as well as equipment for water purification and water treatment, medical products for providing first aid in emergency situations.

Belarusian business was interested in Zimbabwe's capacity for grain processing, restrictions and risks when transferring payments between Belarusian and Zimbabwean companies, proven and reliable legal firms in Zimbabwe that could represent the interests of Belarusian organizations on the territory of Zimbabwe in matters of opening companies and resolving disputes.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in turn, is ready to continue to provide Belarusian and Zimbabwean business with comprehensive support in various directions.
